A brief ‘sunny interval’
I had to get up ridiculously early this morning for a hospital appointment. When I was about to leave they phoned me to cancel due to ‘staff sickness’. The early wake/up has left me tired all day.
I missed a Royal Mail parcel delivery while I was out at the beach. Instead of using my safe place they left a card saying they would deliver tomorrow. I will be out tomorrow so I phoned them to find out why they didn’t use my ‘safe place’ as normal ( no signature was required). After a very long and tedious menu I waited in a 20 minute queue z. They wanted a reference number. Several parts of the scribbled reference number were indecipherable. I offered a postcode instead. I was told ‘our systems don’t work with postcodes’!!!!! I was told my local sorting office work with postcodes but they don’t have a phone number for the public to use or an email address!!!!
I wonder why Royal Mail are not making a profit. I wonder why they employ phone operators to ‘help’ and then give them systems that don’t work with postcodes?
