Yet another waiting room

I had to wait ages. I got thirsty and went to the water cooker machine. There were no cups! A notice said to ask at Reception for a cup. Reception staff were in the back room gossiping and ignored me. When the nurse called for me I told her I was waiting for a cup. We went to her room and she had a stack of cups; she went back to fill them from the water fountain. I had to wait again for her to come back with the water! She told me that she had spoken to Reception and they said the cups were restricted because children played with them and wasted them. As children are accompanied by parents, and the water fountain is close to Reception, I feel it’s not right that ordinary patients have to stand at Reception and be ignored when they need to drink, because parents don’t supervise their children and Reception staff don’t want the hassle!

Rant over. I have another appointment there tomorrow, and if there are still no cips at the water machine I will tell Reception what I think!
