Active day

Started off with a swim, though it was a bit challenging as there quite a few slow (even slower than me) swimmers and I ended up in the medium lane.  Home for breakfast.  Wen Hui had already gone into town and #1 son was busy doing stuff.  J came round and after a bit of chat and herding kids it was back to the pool for a swim with the girls.  

Then the 4 of us set out for 7 Acre Park and Mei Mei ran off quite a lot of energy.  We took the long way back, via Mortonhall Estate.  Talked to the horses and did a circuit through the arboretum.  J was excited as she saw a squirrel and of course took photos of the Highland Cows.  

Stopped off in the Garden Centre for 'lunch' and then walked home.  My leg was really sore. Must get back to doing the exercises.  

There was a bit of a hiatus examining #1 son's tent, now pitched in the back garden and then we arranged to meet Wen Hui at Hermiston Gait.  The Tesco shopping was done quickly but then the two of them spent ages in Decathlon.  I sat in the car and listened to my podcast.

Home after 6 I cooked tea and then Olivia went to bed exhausted and Amelia went off to sleep in the tent.  Having been exhausted earlier I'd got my second wind and ended the day watching 'Notting Hill'.
