Mighty Fine Pie

Second trip to Grange-over-Sands in as many days. Not a play rehearsal this time but a visit to the Grange Emporium for Mrs C in the hope that she might be able to pick up a suitable outfit for when we go to the Goodwood Revival in September.
She was successful in finding something and I bought a Jools Holland CD which looked like it had some interesting tracks/collaborations on it. But there is no point in going to Grange if you do not also visit Higginsons and drool (not literally, they don’t like it if you do that) over their mouth watering range of pies and other goodies.
We picked up a couple of Pork and Chilli Jam pies for lunch and some homemade cheese and bacon burgers for tea. And with a good half hour left on the parking, we then crossed the road for coffee and a toastie in Costa.
Throw in some lovely warm weather combined with great views over Morecambe Bay, and I think we can safely say it was a “grand day out”.
