Flowers
The last day of our holiday. We had to be out of our cottage by 10am. We finished packing and tidying, and packed the car. We then bade farewell to our lovely cottage and headed off. Our route took us to the M1 via Chesterfield. I glimpsed a view of the crooked spire.
We headed up the M1, them the A1, where we got stuck in traffic due to road works. Our destination was York, to visit TT’s mum. We got there a bit later than expected, but not too late. Grandma had lunch ready for us, which was great.
We had a good catch-up, then TT and I went for a walk around the walls. We last visited at NewYear, and the walls were closed the whole time we were there. We had a good walk. The walls weren’t very busy. I even managed to buy a birthday present in the vicinity of the walls.
TT had a snooze when we got back. I went for a wee wander up by the river, looking for tansy beetles. I didn’t spot any, but did see loads of ladybirds, including the one in the extra.
After a snack, we set off for the drive home. We had a very good journey home.BB was out when we got home. We unpacked the car, and TT inspected his greenhouse which has been in BB’s care for the past week. We were both weary after our journey.
These flowers are growing by the walls, near to Lendal Bridge. There are more in the second extra.
