After a relaxing morning I fancied a bit of relaxing footy. For newly promoted (down south) Sunderland were in town and playing the Hearts for Craig Gordon’s Testimonial. Did you know I was at school with his Dad? I mean, right from P1 to 6th year at High School. I knew Craig Gordon’s dad, that’s a thing eh? I once met Dougal Haston as his nephew Ronald was in my class too. Other famous people from Currie…. Errr. The punk band the Scars anyone?
Anyway, I whistled up the nephew who seemed to enjoy it. Well, I know he did as football is the no1 thing in his life. It’s like sitting next to a football encyclopaedia. Even moreso than Cigs. I’m still struggling with who Hearts have signed over the summer. He’s busy pointing out the Sunderland signings. 
Anyway, blimey, we won 3-0. Let’s not get carried away, but it beats last season when we lost to Leyton Orient in the pre-season friendly. Bring on the errr whoever’s up next.
