Solace Day 2 - Celebrating

Well, in 17 years of coming onto the canal a few times a year, I have never had an ice bucket aboard, let alone ice brought all the way from Sheffield to Stafford with a bottle of Champagne. (Putting my Prosecco away.)

But ... here come the girls.

Never in 13 years of having Solace have I been on the roof but we hadn't even left the marina before these two novices were up there.

After all reports about people snatching phones out of unwary peoples' hands, I happily handed mine over to a stranger to get a shot of us all enjoying lunch on our first day together.

What a special time this is. Kat is a joint owner and so capable on the boat but for Rachel and our granddaughter, Emily, it was their first time of sharing this interest of ours.
