Wet and grey is the
start for our morning. It keeps
the forest fires down

It's always discouraging to wake up to rain, but I can't complain because we always need it. Today, I drove off to Tranquille with hopes of some wildlife at 6.

I got a shot of Tranquille and the pasture land near the wetlands. I find it all dismal in the rain. 

At the end of the road I found two osprey on the nest. They were quiet until a parent swooped in to drop something for them. Then the chorus went up and the parent flew away. I didn't observe for long as I hate getting my camera wet. 

I took the same route back home along the base of the hill I live on. To my surprise, a small band of bighorn sheep had come down onto the road. It was an awkward location for me. I managed a couple of shots before the traffic scared them up onto the hillside again. This route is all too busy now with transport trucks being rerouted here due to construction. 

I'm in for the day. I will have to retrieve the car from the dealership this afternoon.
