Jute, Jam and Journalism

First stop on our way to Norway on the Ambassador Ambition is Dundee (aka Juteopolis). 

It has to be said that we have been here before, and that it has had a few tough times in the past, so we weren’t sure we could be bothered going out. However, as it wasn’t raining we decided to have a wander and had a nice time.

We visited the V&A, which I had visited before but Martin hadn’t. While I love the outside, I’m not so sold on the inside, as it always seems a bit of a guddle with a lot of space given to the shop and cafe. A worthy addition to the waterfront for sure though. 

After that, we had a wander along the Maritime Promenade which was lovely, although, it ran out before we got to the ship, meaning we have to undertake diversions to finally get back to the ship (thank you to the lovely old lady who pointed us in the right direction).

The extra is looking across the underneath of the River Tay Bridge.
