« Love you Mum »

So sweet to see these two together, but in the shade, this morning, then almost immediately I saw about 15 ptarmigan « flowing » up the valley below the bouquetin. I say flowing because their camouflage is so perfect, it looked like the rocks were moving ( a couple of extras to show individuals). The most striped are the youngsters, those with more white underneath are the adults. Fantastic to see this rare bird. Bizarrely there were 5 people with very long lenses who stood on a ridge above me, easily seen by any wildlife, and they missed all the action. I think they were hoping for a sighting of the bearded vulture. 

I probably won’t be blipping tomorrow as I’m going to the high mountains for two days. If I reach the summit, I shall be very happy!
