In the Pink

I had high hopes for a blip for today. A year ago, we slightly delayed our departure to go and live in France so that we could witness N doing a charity parachute jump. It was cancelled due to the weather. We came back this week, partly to make sure we were here for the re-scheduled event at mid-day today.

At the same time (12.30), Sal was involved in a flash-mob dance in Market Square, and J was also performing at Castle Cornet. 3 family blipportunities. I'm hoping we can see J do his thing maybe next Saturday instead, and the other, well, there was going to be another opportunity later today.

Lovely and sunny, but a bit breezy. N went up to the aero club to meet the plane. The plan was that she would be jumping first in her group. Alice and I went to Aladdin`s Cave to buy a couple of France to UK electric adaptors, and a bug house :-) Then we drove to L'Erée to watch N. M drove there separately. No sign of any action there. Postponed as it was too windy. She had a choice of wait around all day, or try again on Monday morning, so Monday morning it is. We were too late to head into town to see Sal or J, so we just came back home.

Later though, Alice and I got on our bike and had a breezy cycle to Mum's, then later into town and the Town Church for the Guernsey Arts Commission dance show - featuring Sal and The Pink Ladies! So that's today's blip. They seem to be enjoying themselves. Well done Sal and pink friends!

I think it's going to be a fish & chips supper :-)
