Bike
Today, I worked for a while on an interesting solver issue that had been exposed by my work last week, and then I took Django for a walk in the Estate. Now that the scraped grass has been sown, there is an impressive wildflower meadow in front of the old house (see extra).
With the better weather forecast for later, I did a bit more work before setting out on my bike. И had asked whether it was possible to cross the Pentlands by bike or, more precisely, on bikes like theirs. This prompted me to test out my (comparable) bike. On the highest part of the route it was rather too stony to cycle up, and felt on the limit of what was good for the bike going down. I missed not having a front suspension.
After crossing from Flotterstone to Balerno, I made my way back through the north of Edinburgh, until I could head south again. I'd got a couple of local Turf zones to take for the first time, and one was in the oasis of Old Pentland Cemetery (see extra).
Back home, after cooking, daughter L arrived, which was a pleasant half-surprise. She'd travelled up from London today, and already seen Fraser's show. Thankfully she could walk Django this evening
