Logie Old Kirk and Kirkyard
We went out early this morning while it was relatively cool. Parked at the University and walked through Hermitage Wood to Logie Old Kirk. I'm sure I have blipped it before. It is an ancient Kirkyard with Norse hogback stones among other treasures. The site is well maintained by a local community group.
The reason for being at the University today was to go to the exhibition of printmaking. There were some lovely bits of work and some which didn't appeal to me so much. I have come home with the print I liked the best and I will be sure to blip it sometime soon.
Last night's bat event was very good. There was a talk from a bat expert and enthusiast. When dusk fell we went outside with bat detectors and heard plenty of pipistrelles echolocating. We could see them too, swooping overhead catching insects. It was a perfect night for such an event because it was warm and completely still. I learned a lot.
Flora has had a great run in the woods so she won't need to go out till this evening when it should be cooler.
