The wee corner of a raised bed which showcases the mosaic fish on the fence has developed nicely. I've photographed it a number of times, but I don't appear to have used it for my blip so I hope I'm not repeating myself...

I had a super relaxed morning at the sauna which was visiting Shandwick beach. In and out of the sauna and the sea a number of times, followed by a longer swim at the end, at our usual time of 10am, when the sauna bods were joined by a number of other members of the group. This include SC (her nick name) whom I hadn't expected to see for a while as she suffered a family loss this week. She said things felt a little surreal, as well as obviously sad. Another surprising thing was seeing LJ for the first time in ages. She's not joined a group activity for some time. In the extra, a post swim picture taken by N of A and myself.

Mr A and I were gainfully employed this afternoon preparing snacks for an early evening drinks gathering, where A, N and H met D&J from across the road, our new neighbours. All good fun. Lots of chat and laughs. Excellent additions to the neighbourhood. We'd hoped to be outside but it was (a) a little cold and (b) a little too waspy, so we stayed inside. The wasps are disappointing this summer, but everyone is suffering from them.

We loaded the dishwasher, tidied the kitchen a little and soon repaired to bed.
