On our way to Punda Maria
Lots to see on the way and the extras are just a small selection.
Just a comment about Pafuri, a lovely camp but if you stay on a Saturday night don’t expect a peaceful night. The border post were partying until the wee small hours.
We are back in the Safari Tents at Punda but it will probably be our last for a while. We enjoy the area but the camp needs some work. The plus side it probably had the most comfortable beds of the whole trip (excluding Dullstroom).
Their network did not work so there was no internet connectivity, you could not refuel unless you had cash. But the staff were great and helped make it feel better.
The campsite was packed when we went walking after time in the truck, but the baboons are a big problem and there were regular shouts as one tried its luck to steal something. I found a large glass of water thrown in their direction sent them scuttling off with big frowns on their faces.
Thankfully it was more peaceful when we braai'd a little later in the day.
Back blipping continues.
