Verona Day 7

Our last day. So, a wander round to the cafe for a last fruity pastry, then a walk round the Piazza. The menus at the array of cafes were tempting, so we stopped and had a plate of fruit and JR had an omelette - she’s been missing her protein…

We wandered along to our little osteria discovery the other day for lunch, but sadly it was closed. (Extra)

However, we did spend a bit of time in a shop, where the (four) people serving fussed around JR and kept bringing things for her to try on. Talk about a gentle ‘hard sell’… Theydid bring me a couple of things initially, as the shirt I was wearing happened to be their label. But they soon gave up on me. Yes, an item was bought, eventually.

An ice cream for me and an affogato for JR - she’s discovered that she likes them. A rest back at the hotel, then out for a last wander and some people watching. Endlessly fascinating.

What a wonderful week we’ve had in Verona.
