Wedderburn Castle

It feels like this has been my home for the last couple of days. While we have been sleeping in the cottage next to the gate at the west entrance to the estate, most of our waking hours have been spent in the Castle. I think I could quite adapt to living in a place like this. Shame about the running costs.

We had an abundant breakfast in the cottage before returning to the Castle to say farewell. The weather front which had brought the rain yesterday was just moving off to the east and the sun starting to appear.

We headed off north back to Aberdeen, where we found the sunshine in late afternoon, though the air was noticeably cooler.
