Shere delight

After a relaxed morning doing the last things to get ready to leave, including G having a go at doing the mastic around her shower tray, we went into Guildford again. (So much for it being the last time yesterday!)

G wanted to return a toothbrush at Superdrug and to look for specific items in M&S. We also wanted to have a Magnum ice cream, but opted to do that in Shere, as I wanted to use the post office. There’s something about us and Magnum’s this holiday that just isn’t working. Shere didn’t have any, and we ended up trying a Feast, which I would not recommend. I guess the payoff was having time for a quick look at the Seven Surrey Artists exhibition in Shere Village Hall. There were some gorgeous paintings there, and we even got to speak with the artist. A dull weekday has kept visitors away.

I am determined to catch up with my journal, so I started to write out my journal when I got home. I stopped to drive Geraldine, Fabio, and Ellie to Quiz Night. We didn’t do so well tonight, but we enjoyed a relaxed evening. The manager lives here on site, and it was super that she could sit with us tonight. We’re starting to have to say Goodbye to our neighbours. :(

Now that our WhatsApp group is up and running, we were alerted to packages being left at a lodge opposite one of the members. Three of them had my name on them, so we brought them home. I put the car on charge overnight as we have to return it with at least 80% charge tomorrow. I couldn't resist posting a picture of it in the afternoon sun.

It’s been a manic day, but for tonight, I switched on my laptop to try to fill in as many gaps as I can here on Blipfoto.
