Tiki tour rest day
A slightly stressful start to the day. Another problem 8k miles away. Solutions were proffered.
I chose well today as it has rained, nay monsooned, most of the day. But today was my spa day, though I cancelled the hot tub. Swim, in an empty pool, steam room, sauna, massage. All excellent.
Lunch, lying in my bed, was last night's leftover pizza and the complimentary Tunnocks tea cake.
Then to visit Duart Castle, on a recommendation. Glad I went. The rain was off most of the time and it was very interesting. As I left, looking up Loch Linnhe, Ben Nevis was almost in view.
And one of these 'small country' moments. The guy I was chatting to on the Castle roof had been at the Fringe and turns out his niece is the woman who I spoke to the first Sunday at Pleasance Courtyard and who's one woman show was sold out so I never got a ticket. Glad to hear she's doing well as she's been invited to the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
The roads back to the hotel were awash but at least it's swept yesterday's mud off the car.
Now back sitting in the bar with Isle of Harris G&Ts and 2 Olga Wojtas books. This is relaxation.
