New ironing area

First thing this mornjng, W took delivery of his newest toy.

i spent the morning sorting flute music, and doing some playing.  Then I went into Wexford to the sewing group.  Meanwhile, W set up his newest toy - a drill press to replace an old one that wasn't working.  And did some useful jobs around the house.

Some considerable time ago, I bought a mini ironing board for my sewing room.  It's been sitting in a cupboard.  My makeshift ironing area, a towel on a table, was recently cleared to make space for the light box, so W's next job was to fasten the mini ironing board to some wood, so it now can sit on top of the storage drawers.  And today, W fitted a switched socket to the drawers, so that I can leave the iron plugged in, but switch it off at the socket.
