Harbour watching
I spent an hour at the Dartmouth waterfront tonight watching the various boats and ships in the harbour. I also went for a drive around Cow Bay and Rainbow Haven Beach this afternoon, hoping to see some herons and shorebirds, but the tide was still too high. Maybe tomorrow I will get out around Evangeline Beach, high tide is almost 6 pm, and the best time to see the shore birds is about 2 hours before and after high tide.
I do have to go to the valley tomorrow to buy some plants for customers. I will need to make a list before I go.
The fire ban continues, but the woods ban has been lifted for some areas of NS, including Halifax. It must have happened this afternoon because when I was out I noticed that the parks were still closed. The air quality advisory has been lifted too, at least until the wind changes direction again.
