Bees
Lots of bees around the dahlias this afternoon. I caught 2 of them on this flower.
A friend was having a plant sale at her place this weekend, so I decided to leave for brunch early so I could stop at the sale. I knew there were be some unusual plants there. A friend of hers propagates them, and Donna tells him to bring things in for a sale in the late summer. He gives her some plants for doing it, and she gets to see lots of people for a couple of days, a win-win situation.
After brunch I went for a walk in Acadia Park. Volunteers have developed a garden there over the past several years. I need to remember to go there more often. They have quite a few dahlias and peak dahlia bloom is approaching, or it will if the Japanese beetles don't destroy all the blooms.
Tomorrow is Labour Day, a holiday here, and we are not working. I think I will go over the the Public Gardens in the morning, then go to a garden center in Chester to pick up any remaining plants that I need for jobs this week.
