Diwedd rhan un ~ End of part one

“Painting is an art, and art is not vague production, transitory and isolated, but a power which must be directed to the improvement and refinement of the human soul [...] If art refrains from doing this work, a chasm remains unbridged, for no other power can take the place of art in this activity.”
― Wassily Kandinsky, (p54, 'VIII Art and Artists', 'Concerning the Spiritual in Art', Dover Publications, Inc, ISBN 0-486-23411-8)

Roedd dŵr yn y pwll  y bore hwn, ond roedd rhaid i mi ei dipio allan i symud y pwll  i barhau i gloddio. Rydw i wedi cyrraedd clai anhydraidd, felly gwnes i barhau gwaith yn sefyll mewn pwll mwdlyd. Ond roedd hon diwedd y cloddio. Nawr roedd y pwll yn ffitio ac roedd hi'n ddigon lefel. Felly roedden ni'n gallu dechrau rhan dau, rhoi'r pridd yn ôl o gwmpas y pwll. Gwnaeth Nor'dzin yn llenwi bwcedi i fi i'w gwagio wrth ochr y pwll. Mae llawer o bridd i roi'n ôl, o leiaf diwrnod mwy o waith. Ond rydw i'n bob tro yn ei hoffi pan fydd y paratoi wedi gorffen ac a'r diwedd yn y golwg.

There was water in the pond this morning, but I had to tip it out to move the pond to continue digging. I've reached impenetrable clay, so I continued work standing in a muddy puddle. But this was the end of the excavation. Now the pool fit and was level enough. So we were able to start part two, putting the soil back around the pond. Nor'dzin filled buckets for me to empty by the side of the pond. There is a lot of soil to put back, at least one more day's work. But I always like it when the preparation is finished and the end is in sight
