Slate Fell, Cockermouth
A busy enjoyable morning getting stuff done like responding to the solicitors and beginning the process of “on boarding” with them. We are repeating ourselves with every new organisation involved with the houses. And we’ve also to prove our ID again (at the cost of £20 each). This is the fourth time. Why?
It was a showery morning that cleared up in the afternoon for a walk around Cockermouth, passing by the house on Vicarage Lane. Hard to believe it’s going to be ours. The survey took place today, hoping that nothing seriously defective is found.
Today’s blip is of Slate Fell and the valley of Tom Rudd Beck from Sandybeck Way on the eastern side of the town. An innocuous enough image made a little different by the person sitting quietly in the landscape.
I attended the first meeting of the season of the Workington and District Camera Club tonight. Plenty of blippers there; John Gravett, Kentboy, Nick_T, Derwentlass and one or two lapsed blippers. Nice to know people when attending a club for the first time.
There’s a full programme of events, activities, presentations and competitions lined up. Looks very interesting and people were very welcoming. In our present peripatetic state I’ll dipping in and out. That will change when we’re living here permanently.
