River of Flowers

Tuesday: Autumn Garden

Woken up at 2am by very heavy rain, which I suspect had hail in it too - the street light opposite my window looked like it had a river flowing from it … then it just stopped !

Heavy showers until lunchtime too - gradually blew over. I had a walk down to the greenhouse and took today’s photos:
Angelica sylvestris “Ebony” with Marmalade hover fly, I think …
Cotoneaster berries starting to ripen, favourite winter food of Blackbirds
Cyclamen neapolitanum which have spread far and wide around the garden and are so useful for overwatering pollinators.

It feels a lot cooler today, very cloudy and hardly any wind either.

Watched an episode of “Poldark”, read a few chapters of my book and had a very quiet day … as did MrD :-))

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
Nos da pawb / Goodnight all XXXX XXX XX
