Torch cactus

This time of year I never expect to see a cactus flower but they’re always a nice surprise. This flower is on a golden torch cactus. You can see the entire plant as an extra and from where it gets its name.

The following is a real headline from an Arizona newspaper:

I thought that was hysterical.
