They say that there's something good in everything, even poisonous thug plants like cherry laurel.  

Today I found this laurel's inner butterfly :o)

C&S are giving us a hand in the garden - we've an open garden day coming up and some of the nicer shrubs that we've planted have been getting shadowed by enthusiastic ones like laurel, viburnum and holly.  It was time for a cull.

There's a lot more light in this area now, and a very large pile of branches ready for the tree surgeons, here next week, to shred for us.
