It’s a long way to the top…

Another day of breakdowns , heavy rain , calving cows , hauling barley to my cousin, and a trip tonight to buy a calf to twin on to a cow that had a dead calf.
We have been having a bad run over the last few days with calves. 2 vet visits, 3 coming backwards, today’s was a head ,1 front leg and the other front leg bent away backwards. Unlike humans who present head and shoulders, cattle and sheep should be head between 2 front legs as if you were diving into a swimming pool.I eventually managed to get her calved but it was dead and I was knackered ! Getting too old for this sh….
And all my grain conveyors jammed up at half 6 this morning when I started to try and fill a bin with barley. Hence the ladder, some swearing and lots of aerial acrobatics.
Tomorrow’s bount to be better ( been saying that for the last 43 years ..). :)
