#gb40 day 2

Saturday was a better day weather-wise, but there wasn't much on mainstage we were too fussed about seeing, so we spent quite a bit of the day in and around the Performance Cafe, which is a more intimate venue. We enjoyed Andy White's set, and then saw the first of a series of Scottish acts showcasing Greenbelt's sister festival Solas which takes place each year in June up here (we did go to the first one, but haven't managed to make the subsequent ones - hopefully next year we'll be back there). The singer on the right here is Roddy Hart, who as well as being a musician also has a weekly show on BBC Radio Scotland. His voice reminded me of another Scottish singer, King Creosote.

As well as the music, we met up with plenty of friends and had tea and cake. The losing tent/deflated mattress shenanigans caught up with me though, and I was very un-rock'n'roll and was in bed by 9 to catch up on some zzzzzs.
