Bible Garden

I was on the Island of Gigha today to hold an advice surgery and visit a few people.

One of them was the Rev Anne McIvor the very recently retired Minister of the island, who has created a moving, inspiring and intriguing "Bible Garden" in part of the manse garden & glebe.

I hope she gets the opportunity to engage others in the task of helping her to take it forward as it is a wonderful project.

This is just a very small corner of it - part of the "wilderness" which illustrates (inter alia) Mathew 4. 3&4 :

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

(added later - a set of further photographs of the Bible Garden at my Flickr account )
