Crimond

As part of the summer cabinet meetings all the Ministers make a range of visits. Last night I blipped from one of them in Peterhead.

Today in addition to the actual Cabinet meeting and the Public meeting , held in the Dalrymple Hall in Fraserburgh , I was in Westfield Support Hub talking with its inspirational new Head Teacher , at Banff & Buchan college which is in the process of merger with Aberdeen College , and went to the village of Crimond to meet the staff and pupils of the very energetic and caring primary school.

Crimond is of course a name known world wide because of the tune which often accompanies the 23rd Psalm composed in the mid 19th century by Jessie Seymour Irvine whose father was the local Church of Scotland Minister.

This commemorative mural is in the school grounds.
