At home: Trading turns.....

There's a lot of negotiation that goes on when you want a few jobs done. The children agreed to help wrap up electric wire and clean the chickens out in exchange for a movie night and some weekend pocket money.

Ella and Beau set about picking the wire from the catches on the electric posts. They quickly worked out out a pace, which meant one could wind the roll whilst the other ran along ahead loosening it. I heard them bickering about the pace, "it's easy for you Ella, It keeps falling off the roll". Beau's ball of electric tape wire was a little like a ball you might have just got off a kitten. Not actually on the reel, but hanging in loops in a ball. "Give it here, I'll do it" Ells swapped, and being that little bit older found it easier to negotiate the bundle, but was left annoyed by Beaus untidy work.

In trading places, Beau quickly scampered ahead untidying the posts, leaving Ella still frustrated with the loopy wire bundle. By the time we came to head in for the evening, Beau had pulled all the posts up and stacked them ready for re using tomorrow. Ella followed behind, still grumpy.

Beau jumped on the swing, Ella almost at the house. "Give me a push Ella?" One step closer to movie night and pocket money....she reluctantly agreed....x
