At home: Whiff Whaff

Beau is a budding 'badders' player. It all started up at Grandpas house, where there is a permeant and rather weathered badminton net swinging haplessly down the end of the field. It seems funny, that despite no formal court, in fact the pitch is in a summer meadow of long grass, that it attracts so many players.

I love this. I remember looking through a photography book, called "Posts". this being similar in that the it shows all the goal posts around the world. Some even painted onto a inner city back alley, others in a dust bowl desert.

Grandpa calls our badminton game "whiff whaff" . We guess its to do with the whiff and the whaff of the racket. Beau picks up the shuttle cock. We have a net in our garden now. Beau is always asking.. "Mummy, will you play with me?"
