The Confederation Bridge spans the Strait of Northumberland and links the provinces of Prince Edward Island, Canada and New Brunswick, Canada. It is 12, 900 meters in length. The longest span is 250 meters. At its highest point it is 60
meters above the water. It opened for use on May 31, 1997 at a cost of $1.3 billion (Canadian).
