Light and Shade Over Meadowbank

The nor-west wind was still pretty feisty this morning. It was grumbling down the Wairau Valley and spreading out over the Wairau Plain. A rain band threatened to move down with it but by the time I had turned around and was on the homeward leg of our dog walk the rain band had dissipated over the Richmond Range and Marlborough Sounds.
I love big skies and the sky was certainly not a disappointment once the rain band had gone. High cloud dominated the lower vestiges of the nor-west clouds. It looked quite dramatic with the intense blues of the sky. I liked the way the shadows were creeping out over the bare land of the Meadowbank Vineyard. It was worth a Blip. In the vineyard the ground has been raked and then rolled in preparation for planting soon. Even more posts are in piles at the north-east end of the bare land….. It will be all go next week.
