A day of planning, planning and more planning and lots of list writing but this time constructive list writing that results in action.

Ele and Kenny are coming up on Saturday and staying over and on Sunday we are having a final clear out of the games room in the hope we will actually be able to use it for its intended purpose. That lovely, full size snooker table sitting in there piled high with boxes still. Disgraceful! We've been here over a year now!

It's Kenny's birthday next week so making Saturday night's dinner a special birthday treat.....home made lentil and ham soup, fillet of beef, baby potatoes and veg, followed by homemade crème brulee. I also plan to make a Victoria sponge birthday cake as well as a tray bake for D & K to take to the golf on Saturday afternoon. Well they need a sugar boost by the time they get to the 9th!

So planning for a good weekend.

Even spent a little time in our outhouse today not a place I often go as it's a bit yuk! as I am also full of plans for converting it into something more useful than the dumping ground it currently is.

One thought is a little self contained unit with a sofa bed, tv, shower, tea & coffee making facilities and a microwave that could be used as extra guest accommodation or carer accommodation once Alan's team of helpers increases. Alternatively it could be a proper storage place for some of Alan's equipment when he's not using it. Hopefully he'll eventually have a power chair as well as his manual chair so would be good for stuff like that. Maybe it could be a home office. Lots of possibilities but I have a secret hankering for turning it into a photography studio but haven't dared mention that to David yet so don't say anything ;-))

Anyhoo, this is one half of it as it stands and when I was in there today, I couldn't get THIS SONG out of my head. It seems appropriate :))
