Walking along the Beach in Dornoch

Up early and left Clachtoll with a steady drizzle and the weather really closed in, not seeing the mountains that were there, but were hidden by the mist unfortunately. The mistiness brings it's own beauty, and we stopped by Loch Assynt and took some pictures but the midgies were out in full force and after having been bitten by them the other day I headed back into the van.

Stopped in a remote hotel further along our route to Dornoch heading towards the east coast for a little pit stop then onward arriving at the caravan site again located just at the back of the sand dunes on the beach.

Decided we would have a chippie tea and walked around the town trying to find it but it was nowhere on the main roads. I spotted a woman hoovering out her car and said excuse me, as she turned round she said Oh I know you and then I recognised her as someone I used to work with over 11 years ago. Quite amazing really! We had a nice chat and she explained that the chippy was on the retail park and we headed over there.
