Day 2: Digitally Remastered

17 days until the course officially starts. Today, I watched two episodes from the DVD, entitled "Virtual Revolution". Interesting viewing actually, from PayPal, to Cyber Terrorism, and everything in between - I think I'm going to like this module!
Maybe we are not that far away from a reality that is more akin to Terminator, or Battlestar Galactica...

Today's image is the front cover, from Cartridge 14, for the Philips Videopac, otherwise know as the Magnavox Odessey 2 (in America). In the 1970s, it was the 3rd most popular games console. The Atari 2600 was Top Dog, followed by the Intellivision. Most games for the videopac were written by the same programmer (not like today, where you have 30 people!). Ironically it was not a bad machine by yesterdays standard, and was more powerful than it's two counterparts. I don't think Philips took full advantage of its power.
