'The Fair & The Pub'

A very busy day for us today, starting with a big kick of the footy out the back with the boy for almost an hour, then uncle Sang came over to visit. We then all drove down to Diamond Creek to have a wander around the local fun fair and a bite to eat.

This arvo we went up to the St.Andrews Hotel to see Ben Kelly once again, who was playing a gig with Steve Davies on didge and percussion. An awesome gig and even though Ben had a cold, still managed to push through and put on a fantastic engaging performance. His spirit is so strong and certainly engages well with his audiences so well. It was nice to be able to thank him personally for giving his time at our kids school last Wednesday too. Dylan's teacher Michael and his wife turned up at the pub to see him perform also. Michael was telling me that he is keen to have Ben visit the school again next year. Ben also said that he would be up for it, possibly in February before he heads of on another interstate tour.

The second Preliminary final has just started and the winner will be playing our Hawks in next weeks Grand Final. We haven't been beaten by either of these teams this year which I'm taking as a positive into next week.

Another big day planned for tomorrow.
