Domestic reflections.

A busy Saturday. We had our first church coffee morning since the summer break today and the theme for the stall was produce. So we had lots of home picked fruits and jams and chutneys including a selection of Chris's left over from the wedding production. A good chance to clear the decks before making the next lot!

After lunch we set off to walk along the canal from Bingley to Saltaire where the annual festival was in full swing. It was heaving, I don't think I've ever seen it so busy. I was meeting a friend and it took two phone calls to track each other down. By this time it was also very warm and muggy. Lots of stalls, music, food and drink and a sprinkling of street entertainers.

Our main aim was to buy some sausages from the Continental Food market. Chris went off to queue for those while my friend and I went to the vintage market and had tea and enormous cake!

We walked back along the river where there were rowers in action and the canal where barges were still going through the locks as some had been one our way there. So lots of blip opportunities but what really caught my eye was this colourful washing reflected in the water of the canal.

Tired now so it's feet up time with a drink. Won't need any food for a while after that cake.
