Up the Rebels!

Another hectic day - cutting down herbs, clearing paths and planting bulbs.  Warm and muggy so a swim was taken - wonderful! I've just had a very productive evening with TJ, a working supper (delicious risotto kindly made by Himself) followed by a massive session sorting out the future of Wayfarer Cards - boxed sets and prints to follow.

Everywhere is en fete - this bunting is left over from the All Ireland Hurling Finals between Cork and Clare, which ended inconclusively in a draw. A replay will occur shortly. But today was the All Ireland Gaelic Footbal Final - Mayo v Dublin, a smattering of Mayo colours (red and green) peeped out between the overwhelming red and white of Cork, the Rebel county! We watched the final on the internet. Irish football is far more exciting than ordinary football as there don't seem to be any rules - you can hold the ball, kick it, punch it and you're allowed to hold onto your opponents' clothing - quite a lot. You can also bash them with your shoulder - fiercely. Our  Internet  connection broke down in the last 4 minutes! The Dubs won. This is the Long boat Bar looking very county proud.
Too knackered to browse, so a big catch up will be taken tomorrow.
