"Look - a Nikon User!"

These 15 fallow does and year old young look incredibly curious, in the New Forest.

Unlike deer in parks, such as Richmond, these are wild, yet this is easily the closest I've got to such a herd, without them all scarpering at a great rate of knots, bounding over the heather, as they usually do...

Lens is only a 300mm (Tamron SP 70-300mm VC), 35mm eqv. of 450mm and cropped by about 30% top and bottom and 10% from the sides, so image quality hasn't suffered too much, though some extra sharpening has been added. Look in on LARGE to see them all closer.

Thanks to all who attempted at guessing what I had photographed in my abstract Blip of yesterday. No-one was correct, though daring2go was closest - well done Jillian. Rather than me trying to explain what it actually was, here is an approximate normal view of it.
