Hornet

This is not a macro shot.

The lunchtime outing, in the pleasantly surprisingly warn sunshine, hadn't produced much other than some reasonably respectable dragonflies shots. I was about to go back in when something large flew by.

Curious to see that it floats - although with the all-pervading Scum From the Black Lagoon in the pond, I'm perhaps surprised that anything sinks.
