North Country

It may look as if I'm vacationing in Key West, Florida, but I'm really looking across the St. Lawrence River at Brockville, Canada from my brother's condo porch.

A short break from every day life, but one I really needed after a difficult week.

This area of New York State is known as North Country. It is full of dairy farms, and is one of the flattest parts of New York that I have ever visited.

The air is fresh here, and one can see for miles on a clear day.
