wander, stumble, wonder

So much tasty

Last day in Bellingham, and we had a quiet morning after another late night. The pets needed attention, there was internet to be read, rain to blow over. But at lunchtime we went out for some adventures. The first task of the afternoon was to help Kat move into her new bedroom, or start to at least. We then walked into the city for some lunch and a little tour of the place. Lunch was good. Poached eggs on mushrooms on waffles, with potatoes, balsamic vinegar and hollandaise. There was a bit more hollandaise than ideal, but other than that it was very good and kept me going for a good long time. After a bit lot of a wander and a few shops we ended up back at the house. We kitted up the dog and went for a walk up to see the university campus, where Kat went for sometime. The dog enjoyed his walk very much, having not gone that way before (we think). We made it back just before the rain set in, and have spent the evening doing quiet time things - catching up on blips, watching the voice, drinking hot chocolate. Comfy and nice. Tomorrow I'm off to Leavenworth, to visit another friend. I hope the good weather continues. Can't believe I'll be home next week. Looking forward to it, but I've really enjoyed this long route home. It's been fun to see all these new places and old friends. As always my list of places to visit continues to grow.
