Redundant!

Today was a momentous day, Mrs Talpa and I were made redundant! Every Tuesday for the last 7 years we have picked up the male Talpid from Nursery and then from school, but today was the last day. Now that his sister is also at school they are both going to go to the after school club.

No longer will I have an excuse for playing games on the Xbox on a Tuesday afternoon. Woe is me.

Still I am sure that the statutory redundancy pay for a couple of pensioners must be absolutely enormous. Perhaps we will go on a round the world cruise. But there again ....
