Herdwick

Thankyou to Corinthian and Jeanneb53 for inviting me along on one of their Aire Valley walks today. The overcast day and threat of rain was not going to stop us getting our injection of fresh air, and it was certainly fresh as we ascended on to Kildwick Moor from the village of that name. There were some interesting buildings to look at in the village including the church and Kildwick Hall. The author of these Aire Valley walks is not always clear in his directions so we had to do a bit of conferring at times and some occasional backtracking to ensure we were on course. The views would be lovely on a clear day but today was more about the exercise. I was undecided as to whether to go with this Herdwick or the canal barges on our return walk to the village, but the sheep won out for cuteness. I would love a jumper from that fleece!
