Wimpole Hall

After getting ourself sorted, emptying the loo and all those fun camper van things, we left our campsite and set off for a visit to Wimpole Hall, which is owned by the National Trust. It's an interesting place with a chequered ownership which gives it a bit of an identity crisis as far as restoration is concerned.

After that we set off for Cambridge and booked into out B&B for the next few days then we walked up the river and in to Cambridge as te sun was setting. I've never in my life seen so many bikes hurtling about in my life! We wandered around the town then went to a small Italian restaurant we'd been recommended and had an excellent meal there.

Today's blip is a view from the ground floor of Wimpole Hall, over the formal gardens to the gothic ruin in the distance.

Hope your week has started off well.

David
