Life of a bubble maker

J had a bad night last night and felt ill before going to bed. She managed to sleep most of the night but still didn't feel right to go diving.
Did three dives today of varying degrees of success. Reports below
J managed to see a sunfish on the surface while we were diving.
High light of the day was when John put the camera in the housing, we were on the way to the dive site before I pointed out that the lens cap was still on.
Not the greatest days diving but hopefully a couple of good photos

Dive 9
Monkey Rock - Isla Coronado
Start time 7.26
Max depth 29.3m
Dive time 62 min
Temp 26

J wasn’t feeling good still so went out with mum and dad. Not the best dive site in the world. Lots of rock ledges with small creases in them but not much small life to see. Dive guide found a seahorse. Took a while to realise it was upside down on the seafan. Not sure if the photo will be any good. As soon as we had seen that a Mobula went by.
Around the point at the deepest section and on the way back up we saw 4 more Mobula towards the surface. Far to far away for a photo. Also a couple of big tuna up on the top of the reef.
Big schools of sweet lips and surgeon fish also a lump parrotfish.
At the end of the dive there were a few porcupine fish just waking up and coming out of their crevasses.
Not the best dive nice to see some big stuff for a change.

Dive 10
La Vaca-Isla - Isla Carmen
Start time 11.01
Max depth 20.4m
Dive time 63 min
Temp 28

This time a round a pinnacle. Dropped down onto the side of the pinnacle where it met the sand and swain clockwise. Lots more fish here with shoes of sweetlips etc.
Saw a couple of green morays. 2 large puffer fish hiding under the rocks. A jewel moray, which I managed to get a photo of.
Took in Johns camera again but this time set for macro. A big learning curve as its set to manual focus and a small depth of field at f5.6.
A few porcupine fish around and some more trumpet fish.
A few large lobsters as well.
Kept an eye out for bigger fish and sea horses but none were found.

Dive 11
Isla Catalina - North East
Start time 16.28
Max depth 17.4m
Dive time 60 min
Temp 29

Another unknown site. Down onto a boulder field. Not much to see. Lots of porcupine fish of all sizes. A small jewel moray in the wall. A couple of green morays. J didn’t dive as she was still feeling ill and Mum and Dad left me behind taking photos.
Saw a small octopus but it disappeared under some rocks. Might be an OK dive at night but can't be arsed tonight.
Not the best end to the day
