The Quilters Quilt

We have a very talented group of Quilters here in Marlborough. Their quilts are truly works of art. From time to time they have an exhibition of their recent creations.
This image shows about one third of a panoramic quilt which hangs on the wall in part of our Marlborough Convention Centre. I think it is amazing. The tiny figures along the bottom of the quilt are photographs of actual people. They have been cleverly added in order to give the impression of an exhibition of life-size quilts. I just love it. We have fun identifying the various local identities that are cleverly portrayed as “spectators” at this miniature exhibition.
